I'm so glad to read a piece by you that isn't part of a serial. This dunking essay is terrific. I'm a dunker. I had a grandpa who dunked, but he had different techniques. He would either pour his coffee in the saucer and dunk in the shallow surface, or he would tear the pastry in pieces and drop them in a glass of milk. I prefer pouring a little milk in a small bowl and dunking. I put a napkin on the counter between the bowl and my mouth to catch the dribbles, if I miscalculate. I also love to dunk crackers in soup, but I break them up, say "oops" and drop them all in at once. Yum!
The dunk will add excitement to your morning coffee.
Karen,
Thanks for sharing your dunking preferences. Dunkers are risk-takers, for sure.
I'm not much of a dunker, but I'll give it a go. You talked me into it.
